Sharon Levinger has been belly dancing since 1998; through the years her passion for Oriental Dance grew and she focused on the Modern Egyptian veil-technique, Cabaret Oriental dance, Cane dance (Saidi) and Gypsy styling. As her technique refined, Sharon performed internationally in Greece (Santorini) and Turkey (Selcuk) in 2001 and continues to participate in a multitude of shows, festivals, Oriental cultural events, is a regular performer in restaurants, at private events and dance studios. She has been teaching and creating choreographies for students since 2003 in French and English; through the years her dancing has brought her to teach Oriental dance classes in McGill University, Salsa Laval, local gyms as well as private lessons for larger groups and from 1996 to 2000 studied Latin dances such as: Salsa, Merengue and Bachata.. She brings elegance and a warm modern touch to the classic Oriental dance.
